Our Work
All of our work has been collaborative and we have been involved in many projects in various roles. We prefer indigenous-led approaches and usually play a supporting role, for example as facilitators, ecology support, drafting and design of plans etc. On this page are some examples of work that was co-produced with the Arafura Swamp rangers and clans of the management region, along with visiting partners.
This shows our experience working throughout the Healthy Country cycle, from making the plan, doing and monitoring the work and sharing the story.

This video shows the healthy country planning process that was undertaken at homelands across the vast 1.2 million hectare Arafura Swamp region.
The Arafura Swamp Rangers Healthy Country Plan was prepared for Arafura Swamp Rangers Aboriginal Corporation (ASRAC) by Yolŋu and Bi clans and families, the traditional owners and djungkayi of the land and sea that is connected to Gurruwiling (the Arafura Swamp).
Emma helped to facilitate this process and draft the plan. View the full Healthy Country Plan document.

The ASRAC M&E Dillybag forms part of the Intercultural Monitoring and Evaluation Project (IMEP). The IMEP project involved ASRAC rangers, staff and visiting partners working together with families and clans in the management region to build ASRAC’s M&E systems around the Healthy Country Plan. This includes shared understandings of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) work as well as our organisational roadmaps (Theories of Change), indicators, monitoring tools and governance processes. Emma was the IMEP Manager at Bush Heritage Australia.
This paper describes an indigenous-led approach which attempts to describe the importance of embracing multiple worldviews in 'Indigenous Land & Sea Management'
